Three teens arrested in connection with burglaries

Police have arrested three teenagers in connection with a series of burglaries that have plagued the Dudley area in recent months. Acting on intelligence, officers conducted a series of operations this morning, detaining the suspects at various locations across the borough.

The arrests include a 17-year-old male apprehended following a car key burglary on Wassell Road, Halesowen, on 9 July. During the incident, intruders forced entry into a home and stole a vehicle, which has since been recovered.

In a separate incident, another 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with a break-in at a house on St Georges Road, Netherton, on 15 July.

Additionally, a 16-year-old male has been detained on suspicion of attempted burglary in Braithwaite Drive, Kingswinford, which occurred on 18 May.

The teenagers remain in police custody as investigations continue to determine whether these incidents are connected. Authorities are committed to tackling such crimes and ensuring the safety and security of the local community.

A spokesperson for the police commented, “We understand the significant impact these crimes have on our communities, and we will continue to take decisive action against those who commit such offences.”
