A teenager has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing at a Birmingham hotel earlier this week.
Muhammad Khan was detained over the killing of 20-year-old Panashe Bako at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Holliday Street on Tuesday (21 July).
The 19-year-old, of Gowan Road, Washwood Heath, has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court tomorrow (24 July). He also faces one count of robbery.
In a tribute to Mr Bako his family said: “Panashe was loved by many family and friends. We have been robbed and the pain is too much to bear.
“Our family will never be the same again. Fly high Pipi.”
We’re trying to trace another man, Ceasar Bello, in connection with the killing. The 18-year-old who also goes by the name Peace may have fled to London.
