Police officers in Dudley have been actively engaging with the community this week through a range of initiatives aimed at improving safety and addressing local concerns.

While on patrol, Brierley Hill police officers successfully located and seized a stolen vehicle, which is now undergoing forensic examination.

Community engagement has been a key focus, with officers attending the Merry Hill Shopping Centre to provide free crime prevention advice and resources to shoppers.

In Halesowen, a speed watch was conducted in the Hayley Green area following residents’ concerns about speeding vehicles. Additionally, officers responded to complaints from parents and carers about parking issues outside Lutley Primary School, carrying out patrols to address the problem. Further parking patrols were held on Shenstone Valley Road and Grower Road.

Cradley residents had the opportunity to meet their local officers during a “Cuppa with a Copper” session, where safety advice was shared.

Dudley North officers held a drop-in surgery at Sedgley Library, offering the public a chance to voice their concerns. Meanwhile, Dudley Town officers engaged with young students through Junior PCSO sessions at Foxyards Primary School, aiming to educate and inspire the next generation.

These efforts underline the ongoing commitment of Dudley’s police teams to fostering safer and more connected communities. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns to their local officers.
