Man charged with firearms offences after gun seized in Dudley

A man has appeared in court charged with firearms offences after police seized a gun in Dudley, on Sunday afternoon (11 Aug).

Officers arrested a man in his 60s after police were called to reports of a man with a firearm in the Pensnett Road area at around 2pm.

During a search of a vehicle, officers also found and seized a gun.

A 64-year-old man has been charged with possessing a firearm and having ammunition without a licence.

He appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday (Tue) and was remanded in custody until a further hearing on 10 September at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
