Four members of a county lines drugs gang operating in Dudley have been jailed for a combined total of more than 20 years. Sajad Hussain, Shahoon Qurban, Stacey Bryan, and Michael Hill were all involved in selling heroin and crack cocaine to known drug users in the area.
Using the “H line,” the gang sent bulk messages to advertise drugs to potential buyers. From March to December 2022, more than 27,000 text messages were sent from the operation’s main phone number.
In December 2022, following a detailed investigation by the County Lines Taskforce, officers identified the suspects and seized drugs, cash, and mobile phones from their homes. Hussain, 51, of The Broadway, was sentenced to nine years. Bryan, 38, of Iron Foundry Drive, and Hill, 37, of Windsor Crescent, each received four-year sentences, while Qurban, 39, of Richmond Road, was jailed for nine years and seven months.
Detective Constable Thomas Reece, who led the operation, described the sentences as a “significant victory” in the fight against drug trafficking, emphasising the ongoing commitment to holding those responsible accountable.
