Police are appealing for information after shots were fired following a collision between a car and a van on Mary Street, Balsall Heath shortly after 8pm yesterday (26 May). Police understand a grey Citroen C3 and white VW Transporter collided near to the junction with Balsall Health Road.
CCTV shows the occupants of the Citroen were shot at from the direction of the van as they tried to flee the scene.

Police do not believe anyone was injured as a result of the incident, however Police want to speak to anyone involved to ensure they are safe and to assist with our enquiries. A scene remains in place on Mary Street today (27 May) for forensic examination.
Detective Inspector Richard Marsh from force CID said: “We are keeping an open mind as investigations are in the early stages, however it would appear this was a targeted attack. “The Citroen has been recovered for forensic examination and CCTV is being reviewed as we urgently appeal for any information.
“We are particularly keen to trace the movements and occupants of the VW Transporter that we believe was involved.”
