A man has been jailed after stealing a television from a flat in Coventry, which was later described as ‘worthless’.
Ijah Cumberbatch was seen breaking into a vacant flat on Brunswick Road, Earlsdon on 20 May before he was seen leaving carrying the TV and getting into a taxi.
Officers were called days later when Cumberbatch was seen outside the flats and he was arrested.
At Leamington Crown Court last Wednesday, the 35-year-old, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to burglary and was jailed for two and a half years.
